Ottawa Korean Community Church (OKCC) has been providing gifts and school supplies to the school-going children to the Bhutanese Nepali Community, Ottawa for the last six years. The distributions are done normally twice a year. School supplies are provided at the end of August for the students joining the school year in September. Similarly, OKCC has been distributing Christmas Gifts to the Bhutanese Nepali children in December every year.
August 27, 2018 was again a great day of joy and excitements for 71 children to receive their school supplies from OKCC at 2850 Cedarwood Dr. Ottawa. The gift- packs included all the necessary school supplies as recommended by the Ontario School Board. The students
were categorized into three age groups. There were 17 children receiving the school supplies from ages 3 to 8 studying in Junior Kindergarten to grade 3. A total number of 30 students ranging from ages 9 to 11 from grade 4 to grade 6 received school supplies. Finally, a total of 24 students from ages 12 to 13 studying in grade 7 and 8 received school supplies from OKCC.

The OKCC team led by Seung-Hwan Lee and Yeong Yoo extended best wishes to the school going children and distributed the back-to-school supplies in the presence of parents/guardians and some directors representing Canadian Bhutanese Association (CABTAS), Ottawa.
Canadian Bhutanese Association (CABTAS), Ottawa would like to thank Ottawa Korean Community Church (OKCC) for their continued support and love shared to the Bhutanese Nepali Community School going children.
