Title: Youth Criminal Justice: What Parents Should Know?
CABTAS facilitated multiple workshops in the community regarding youth criminal justice system. The facilitators delivered the workshops in Nepali language, and the participants ranged from youths to adults. The workshops were conducted through direct partnership with Somali Centre for Family Services.
The Youth Criminal Justice: What Parents Should Know workshop includes information on:
The types of crime youths are usually involved in.
The youth criminal justice process.
The rights and responsibilities of parents.
How to recognize warning signs and prevent crime.
Resources to support parents.
Parents and Youths from the Bhutanese Nepali Community could acquire firsthand information on the topic. Discussions and question-answer session during and after the workshops were found very effective and informative.
CABTAS would like to thank Somali Centre for Family Services for offering the workshops and looks forward for similar programs in near future.
