Christmas Gifts for 72 Bhutanese Children in Ottawa

Ottawa Korean Community Church (OKCC) distributed Christmas Gifts to 72 Bhutanese Nepali Children at Ottawa on December 9, 2018. A team of around 25 church members comprising of Children, Youths, Elders, Deacons and mission representatives visited Alpha Bhutanese Nepali Church of Canada at 2400 AltaVista Dr. Ottawa, after the regular Church Sunday Service session.

The visiting team members presented some melodies worship songs to the members present from the Bhutanese Nepali Community before Gifts distributions to the children. Most of the songs were dedicated to Christmas, carrying the message of praise and Merry Christmas. The team expressed and shared their true love of amity and friendship between Canadian Bhutanese Association (CABTAS), Alpha Bhutanese Nepali Church of Canada (ABNCC) and OKCC, and their special love to the Bhutanese Nepali Children. OKCC has been expressing love to our children through gifts, prayers and best wishes twice a year for the last six years.

December 9, 2018, brought great joy and was a day of excitement to all the Children who received their gifts. The name of each child was called out from the list and the recipients were provided gifts by the team members. The students were categorized into three age groups from age 4 to 14. 16 children who received the gifts belonged to the age group between 4 to 8, 28 students belonged to ages 9 to 11 and 28 between 12 to 14.

The OKCC team led by Seung-Hwan Lee, Yeong Yoo and Sudip Bhattarai wished Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the participants and the church members.

Canadian Bhutanese Association (CABTAS), Ottawa, and Alpha BNCC extend special thanks to Ottawa Korean Community Church (OKCC) for their continued support and love shared to the Bhutanese Nepali Community and our children.
