CABTAS Annual Program-2023 was a huge success.

Canadian Bhutanese Association (CABTAS, Ottawa) organized its Annual Cultural Program at Glebe Community Centre, Ottawa, on September 2, 2023. Some of the main objectives of holding annual cultural programs are:

1. To preserve and promote community culture and traditions.

2. To bring community people together, creating an environment of exchanging love and friendship with one another.

3. To entertain and refresh the participants and invitees with cultural songs, dances and food.

4. To encourage community children and youths to learn and perform cultural dances and songs on the stage.

The program was successfully organized under the coordination of CABTAS President, Mr. Sudesh Gurung. The three-hour event was full of entertainment and exciting moments. The cultural songs and dances were performed on the stage by two groups-“The Bhutanese Nepali Youths and Children”; and the local Nepali Band “Rodhi Blues”.

The parents, guardians and guest participants fully enjoyed the event. Many of them were impressed to see their children perform songs and dances in their beautiful cultural attires. The sound of applause, the clicking of cameras and flashlights added more flavor to the show.

The program ended with a vote of thanks and award award-giving ceremony. Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to the community members in recognition to their outstanding services and contributions made to the Bhutanese Nepali Community in Ottawa. Free delicious food was served soon after the event to all the participants and invitees.
